Duna Aszfalt Plc. and the Duna Bonum Foundation donated three state-of-the-art medical devices to ÉPC-Honvéd Hospital
Duna Group’s commitment to corporate social responsibility has reached another milestone: Duna Aszfalt Plc. and the Duna Bonum Foundation donated three high-value medical devices to the Central Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at ÉPC-Honvéd Hospital. On October 8, representatives of the infrastructure construction company and the foundation formally handed over the instruments in person at the Budapest hospital and also visited the department, where the devices had already been put into service.
Life-saving ultrasound – proved its value on the very first day
The transesophageal ultrasound probe allows doctors to obtain an exceptionally detailed image from inside the heart, even in cases where conventional ultrasound cannot provide a sufficiently clear image or support a diagnosis. Upon its arrival, the device immediately enabled a life-saving diagnosis in the case of a critically ill patient, clearly demonstrating the importance of this donation.
A unique ventilator for patients with the most severe lung injuries
The hospital also received a ventilator of which currently only one unit exists in Hungary. The machine is capable of measuring pressure and thoracic resistance, and with the help of integrated software, it also enables personalized treatment for patients in the most critical condition.
Radiofrequency ablator against chronic pain
The third device, a radiofrequency ablator, can eliminate chronic pain in the sensory nerves near the spine through targeted heat application. This innovative technology opens up new possibilities in pain management.
