Our goal is to promote material and energy savings, efficient use of local resources, and preferential use of renewable natural resources during our activities, minimize waste generation, prevent and reduce pollution. Furthermore, we support the promotion of quality over quantity mindset. We respect and protect the values of nature.

Our founding owner, László Szíjj, was already contemplating an individual construction business in the mid-80s, and the founding papers of his first own company were submitted at the end of the 1989, the year of the regime change. The Duna Group has over 30 years of professional experience, and over time, among others, other companies joined the group, including Közgép Építő- és Fémszerkezetgyártó Zrt. (its first predecessor was founded in 1921), and Hódút Kft. (its predecessor was the Szentesi Útfenntartó Nemzeti Vállalat, originally founded in 1949).

The flagship of the group in Hungary, Duna Aszfalt, started its operation as a Ltd. in 1996 and was transformed into a Plc. in October 2020. Our founding owner still actively participates in the life of the corporate group, and several family members also play important roles in the operation of the Duna Group.
